About Our Homes

We offer many different types of homes to fit different needs and budgets. All of our homes are considered Modular Homes. They are built indoors, in a controlled environment at our factory, Triple M Housing in Lethbridge, Alberta. Our Modular Homes are built to meet the National Building Code, and are built extra strong to be able to be transported to your location. Factory building is an efficient, quick, and convenient way to build. Whether you are looking for a home to place in a Modular Housing Community, or a dream bungalow in the country, we can work with you. We have many standard floor plans, but we are happy to work with you on a custom plan as well.

✦ Why Buy a Modular Home?

• Value

Modular homes are built in factories. There are numerous advantages to building a home in a factory rather than on-site. Factories are able to purchase enormous quantities of materials, which allows them to take advantage of large volume discounts, thereby lowering the cost of materials per home. Similarly, labour can be carried out much more efficiently in a factory setting, resulting in more cost-effective labour; assembly line processes allow workers to complete the same types of work on multiple homes in considerably less time than they’d be able to if they were travelling from site to site. For these reasons, factory-built modular homes are more affordable than their traditional site-built counterparts.

• Quality

Modular homes are built in a modern controlled environment, and they are precision engineered for a lifetime of trouble-free structural durability. Quality control is maintained by constant inspection throughout the construction process.

To ensure a safe and secure trip to your property, modular homes are built with extra care, and with the highest quality materials. For example, there is typically 20% to 30% more lumber used in framing your home, and our manufacturer uses glue in addition to nail or screw components during construction.

• Peace of Mind

Buying a modular home gives you peace of mind – you wont have to worry about:

“I need more money”

The homeowner’s worst nightmare – the job is half finished and your builder tells you he’s way over budget and needs more money to complete the job. Factory-built houses come at a guaranteed price without cost overruns.

The Vanishing Builder

Everyone knows someone who’s had this problem – just don’t let it happen to you too. You don’t want an unfinished house slowly rotting away in the rain or snow. When you buy a modular home, you get your finished product ready for immediate installation.

The pre-soaked house

Maybe you like your jeans pre-washed, but you don’t want your house to come that way! A site-built house open to the elements can cause your wood to warp or swell — problems you’ll never get rid of in a lifetime of ownership. Modular homes are built in controlled environments under the factory roof and shipped in weatherproofed wrapping.

The unexpected, un-inspected house

Often times you don’t really know what quality you’re getting with a site-built house. Modular homes are thoroughly checked out before they leave the factory. A quality control process provides 100% assurance that your home has been inspected for code compliance and workmanship.

• Speedy Turnaround

On average, a home will be built in the factory within two to three months. Once your home is placed on its foundation, final completion takes two to three weeks. This schedule allows you to move more quickly, and knowing when your new home will be ready helps you to plan your move more easily.

• Lower Home Ownership Costs

Repair bills can really add up. Modular homes are built in a modern, controlled environment, using high quality materials. They are precision engineered for a lifetime of trouble-free structural durability. A well-built house is a home that is easier and less costly to maintain.

• Greater Energy Efficiency

With current energy prices rising almost daily, energy efficiency has become an extremely important issue to think about when buying a new home. By using additional insulation, and precision building techniques, the modular home is super energy efficient. This enables you to save money on your monthly utility bills, and adds to the home’s resale value as well.

• Design Your Dream Home

Modular home manufacturers have many different design plans for you to choose from. You can make modifications, or even design you own house, and the factory engineers will work with your Professional Housing Consultant to make the home of your dreams a reality.

• Mortgage Lenders Want Your Business

Modular homes are becoming more popular, and there are an increasing number of financial institutions eager to write new loans.

• Resale Value

From the outside your home might look just like a normal house, but after all those years, quality shows through. Modular homes are precision built at the factory, and they’re built to last. Your home requires less maintenance, and your energy bills are less than your neighbours’. When you sell your home, you’ll be glad you bought a modular in the first place.

• The Most Important Reason

A new home is the biggest expense of your life. Don’t buy one without checking out all the alternatives. Find out why the demand for modular homes is on the rise.

✦ Benefits of Factory-Built Housing
✦ Modular Homes vs. Site-Built Homes

Advantages of Modular Homes vs. Site-built Homes

You may ask yourself, “what are some advantages of Modular Homes over traditional site-built homes?” There are many answers to that question. First there is cost. A Modular Home gives you more for your money than a comparable site-built home. This is because of how a Modular Home is built.
A Modular Home is built in a “controlled environment” away from any outdoor site factors such as weather, vandalism etc. that may cause unforeseen delays, or increase labour and material costs in the construction process. Modular Homes are built by skilled, full-time factory employees who are committed to the highest standards of workmanship.
Each phase of the construction program is supervised and monitored by trained quality control inspectors to ensure that the home is completed on time, within budget, and to exact specifications. All our homes meet the stringent requirements of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA).
Triple M Modular Homes deliver the highest quality construction at an affordable price. The Modular Homes meet — and in many cases, surpass — national, provincial, and municipal building codes.

Advantages

•  No delays in building due to weather.

✦ Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Modular Home?

A Modular Home is a home that is manufactured in a controlled environment, and is transported to the site for final setup. It meets or exceeds all residential codes, is more energy-efficient, and more affordable than comparable “site-built” homes.

Where can I put a Modular Home?

Modular Homes can be placed in any residential area because they are built to the same standards and codes as conventional homes. The three most common types of sites to place Modular Homes are: in a city/town, in the country (on a farm or acreage), or in a leased land community.

I’ve heard a lot about the Triple M truss floor system. What is so special about it?

Triple M builds all of their Modular Homes on an engineered truss floor system, which allows all of the plumbing and heating to be tied together within the truss under the home. Because all of the plumbing and heat ducts are contained within the floor, there is nothing to frame around when completing the basement, which gives you a full 8′ ceiling in the basement.

I like the Triple M floor plans, but do I have to pick one of them?

No you don’t. As a free service to our customers, one of our trained Professional Housing Consultants can help you to custom design your dream home on a computer. This allows you to have a home that is truly your own.

How can I find out more about the homes?

You can read through our site and view all available standard plans and some custom plans as well. When you are ready, you can contact us for pricing or to make an appointment with one of our Professional Housing Consultants.
